Web Developer

Simbex seeks an experienced Developer for web and mobile applications for use in the medical device space. The Web Developer will take the lead in using front-end and back-end technologies to develop and maintain full-stack web applications for a variety of consumer facing products in the injury prevention, disease management, treatment and rehabilitation space. The Web Developer will also help develop cross-platform mobile applications related to these products. The Web Developer will work with clients and end-users to create application requirements and when necessary work with 3rd party web design firms to implement UI/UX. The successful Web Developer will be comfortable working independently and in a group in a fast paced innovative and creative culture.

* Develop and maintain code documentation related to software requirements, specification, and design throughout the product development process * Design and develop scalable web apps using front-end technologies like HTML5/CSS3/LESS/Boostrap, jQuery, angularJS, reactJS * Design and develop modular/scalable RESTful backend services using Node.js and relational database engines (SQL Anywhere, MySQL, Postgres) * Life cycle management of software including release through upgrades to end-of-life * Lead software design reviews * Maintain detailed application bug lists * Work with third party web design firms * Provide user support * Assist with UI/UX development from ideation to verification

* 5+ years of software development with demonstrable experience in consumer facing * responsive and interactive web apps * 4+ years of mobile app development (iOS, cross platform frameworks, or Android) * 1+ years in a principal / lead role * Familiarity with OAuth is highly desirable * Familiarity with usability testing * Automated build and testing experience is highly desirable * Thorough understanding of both client and web application development * Strong analytical skills * Excellent problem solving, negotiating and influencing skills * Excellent verbal and written communications skills and demonstrated experience in * presenting details and resolving differences across a variety of developers, analysts and * business clients * A commitment to our core values of innovation, passion, agility, openness, integrity and social responsibility.
