Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and driven person to join our product management team as a leader and influencer of our network hardware product strategy and architecture. Our wireless hardware is at the core of our business. Over 22 million devices have one of our wireless cards inside of them and are connected today. You would own one of several products like the Milli 5, the Network Interface Card (NIC 5), and/or the Bridge 5. Role is based in Redwood City.
Responsibilities
* Drive product strategy and full life cycle product management for the Silver Spring networking platform for very large scale networks traversing NANs, HANs, and WANs. * Monitor industry trends while working closely with customers and partners to deliver best of breed network solutions. * Contribute towards the development of the next gen hardware platform, including key components such as network performance, network coordination, and device behavior for millions of devices in the smart grid network. * Define, document and prioritize requirements in Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), including technical and commercial requirements; * Partner with sales and marketing for successful product launches to deliver results in line with corporate objectives, including customer wins, bookings and profit targets; * Create and communicate product roadmaps to continue leadership in networking technology. * Support key sales and marketing engagements as the subject matter expert. * Monitor and win against competitive offerings in the market; * Support sales with lead customer engagements, trials, RFPs, collateral, competitive analysis, business cases and general delivery of compelling marketing collateral. * Working cross functionally with hardware, firmware, software, manufacturing, and operations teams to solve problems and create the future of the company.
Ideal Candidate
**Required Experience** * Demonstrated leadership in full life cycle product management role in a technology company. * Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. * Demonstrated ability to bring people together across functions to drive results. * Strong analytical and problem solving skills. * Ability and desire to travel to customers and partners worldwide. * 3+ years’ experience **Desired Skills:** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer science * MBA preferred * Strong understanding of wireless networks, core networking technologies, protocols, network management, and operating system fundamentals as applied to large RF mesh networks.
