Responsibilities
Responsibilities - Design and develop web interfaces for Sierra Wireless (www.sierrawireless.com, The Source, M2M Solution Exchange, e-store, intranet) - Develop new functionalities and support and maintain existing properties, including back-end and front-end development, on Sitecore content management system - Manage domains, SSL certificates and internal help tickets - Track, troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner, triaging as required - Evaluate and prioritize development tasks for delivery to business in a professional and timely manner - Write technical specification documentation for new features/maintenance tasks for business and technical team to sign-off before implementation - Publish content using the CMS Act as final quality control on all content, reviewing for brand consistency, grammatical correctness and quality of message - Along with Sr. Manager, Digital Marketing & Operations, drive web content management and web development, including processes, standards, and best practices; work with external vendors and IT/IS - Engage with web vendor and participate in planning meetings to evolve the online and web user experience; implement common processes to improve efficiency and optimize budget spend - Provide technical input into website roadmaps and planning, negotiating needs between business and technical constraints - Manage the marketing intranet and extranet (Sharepoint) to provide best-in-class support to global sales and marketing teams - Other technical tasks as needed
Ideal Candidate
Requirements - A passion for, and experience with, creating and delivering compelling web designs and user experiences - A keen interest in learning about, sharing and implementing the latest trends in web and user experience - Minimum 5 years of experience in test-driven, continuous integration web development environment (back-end unit-testing, front-end unit-testing, behavior and integration testing) - Minimum 5 years web development experience with languages/platforms such as Visual Studio, C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, JavaScript, Angular JS, jQuery, Ajax, CSS, DHTML, HTML5, XML, CSS - Sitecore certification is strong asset - Excellent knowledge of web development techniques across multiple web-enabled devices like PC, mobile and tablet, including techniques like responsive/adaptive web design - Demonstrated proficiency in web interface design, development and web technologies; designing and coding rich media sites; web usability; web site accessibility guidelines; quality assurance testing - An understanding of web accessibility and search engine optimization techniques - Experience with databases and data-driven website design (MS SQL Server) - Familiarity with the development of web designs through the use of wireframes and graphic prototypes and iterations based on business requirements - Experience developing compelling visual web designs, while adhering to the functionality and features of content management systems - Solid analytical capabilities, including experience measuring marketing performance and building effective KPI reporting - Very strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Experience managing complex projects with many stakeholders - Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization - Photoshop skills to produce images and graphics for the web are an asset
