Domestic Trucking Coordinator

Shipco Transport Inc., a leading international cargo consolidation transportation company, has an immediate opening in Long Beach, CA, for an experienced Domestic Trucking Coordinator. We are looking for a candidate who is dynamic, highly motivated, and reliable and who understands and appreciates the importance of a team effort.

• The Domestic department is a centralized function, coordinating LTL inland moves through our Transportation Management System.
• The Domestic Trucking Coordinator will schedule inland pick-ups for Domestic orders made through our TMS, schedule deliveries for our import shipments, follow-up to ensure that all pick-ups are received at the CFS location by the cut-off date, obtain rates from vendors and issue quotes, review invoices, approve inland charges and resolve rate discrepancies.

• 1- 2 years of experience scheduling LTL trucking pick-ups and deliveries, dispatch, customer service and rate quotations. Experience from an NVOCC, Freight Forwarder or 3PL background is preferred.
• Knowledge of LCL ocean export or import documentation and customer service operations, bills of lading, dock receipts and manifests, would be a plus.
• Strong data entry required.
• Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Candidate must be detailed oriented and enjoy a fast paced, multi-tasking, customer service minded environment.
