Director of Treasury Finance

The Director, Treasury Finance will work directly with the Assistant Treasurer and VP, Treasurer on the financial affairs of Sears Holdings Corporation (SHC). Primary responsibilities will focus on analyzing the credit-worthiness of SHC; forecasting daily and monthly cash position and future flows of SHC to improve the cost effectiveness of the funding process; and recommending Lease vs. Buy strategies based on financial modeling. This position will also be expected to serve in a back-up capacity for all of the activities performed by the Treasury Group. As such, this position will need to learn and understand all of the various functions that are processed through the Treasury and be able to step in and assume responsibility as necessary.

* Works with the VP, Treasurer to improve the forecasting of the Company’s daily and monthly cash needs and future flows to improve the cost effectiveness of the funding process * Creates the Credit Rating models for the Company as per the methodologies followed by major Credit Rating companies, and recommends actions to improve the credit worthiness of the Company * Develops models to analyze procurement of assets through leave and/or buy transactions, and recommends the best way to procure the assets based on the analysis * Performs business profitability, return on capital, and efficiency analysis * Works with Cash Manager and Cash management team to learn the processes involved in the Corporations daily cash management, and makes recommendations on how to improve the efficiency of the processes currently in place * Performs financial modeling for Sears Holdings Corporation and all business units, as well as complex transactional modeling and general business forecasting * Performs merger and acquisition analysis * Performs bank forecasting * Assists the Assistant Treasurer and VP, Treasurer as needed, and participates in special projects that can reduce costs or increase revenues

* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, related field, or foreign equivalent * Minimum five (5) years of experience in a Corporate Treasury environment * Experience with Accounting and Financial reporting * Working knowledge of the sources and uses of cash * Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including macros in Excel * Experience mergers and acquisitions * Experience performing complex financial and transactional modeling
