Summary
The Product Manager with SCIO Health Analytics, is a key member of SCIO’s Product Management team, which is charged with a product line and its lifecycle. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company. The Product Manager will build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on industry experience and contact with customers and prospects. Product Manager must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. The Product Manager must enjoy spending time in the market to understand their problems, and finding innovative solutions for the broader market. The Product Manager must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. The Product Manager will work with business and clinical analyst counterparts to define product release requirements. The Product Manager will work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. The Product Manager will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for their product offering, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers.
Responsibilities
* Managing the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities * Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers. * Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact * Translate product strategy into high level requirements and conceptual prototypes * Driving and managing the execution of your product vision * Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute. * Ensuring internal staff are trained on your products * Assist marketing with sales support activities * Perform product demos for strategic prospects/ customers * Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product.
Ideal Candidate
**Qualifications:** * 3+ years of software marketing/product management experience. * 3+ years of experience in Population Health or related area * Knowledge and experience working with a broad range of health care stakeholders including operations, IT, clinical, analytics, etc. * Demonstrated experience working effectively in a matrix organization, leading through influence, and enabling excellent performance with peers, colleagues and cross-functional teams. * Client management skills required. * Excellent written, analytical, presentation and oral communication skills. * A strong business sense – person needs the ability to create product strategy from understanding market problems and opportunities * Strong leadership skills - must be able to build trust and set direction for the team, gain alignment with key stakeholders and drive commitments and results * Bachelors Required- Masters a plus **Competencies/Skills:** * Ability to consistently exercise good judgment while making decision * Proven ability to work independently as well as a cooperative team member * Exceptional organizational skills to establish priorities and manage multiple activities to meet deadlines * Strong project management skills * Proven ability to exercise discretion and judgment in dealing with confidential and sensitive information * This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America (25%).
