Summary
Rubicon Project Buyer Cloud team is seeking a Sales Director to work with Fortune 500 Brands and Top Advertising Agencies in the Midwest, based in Chicago. The opportunity is a senior contributor to enable brands and agencies to transform how media is bought and sold at a critical inflection point for automation and programmatic. A balance of educational and transactional selling skills are preferred, as is experience working directly with Brands, Agencies and/or Trading Desks.
Responsibilities
* Cultivate and develop new business relationships and serve as a trusted online media business consultant to senior marketing decision makers and agency partners * Drive revenue into the Buyer platform by leveraging a highly consultative, solution-selling, sales approach * Nurture and grow existing business relationships by serving as a strategic adviser to decision makers * Drive the RFP process; execute and deliver high-quality solutions * Offer transactional sales tools such as direct deal automation, inventory packages, educational programs, marketing and entertainment * Exceed sales and revenue goals; effectively manage an individual quarterly sales goal * Work collaboratively with cross functional teams (account management, ad operations) to drive revenue growth with new and existing clients
Ideal Candidate
* An experienced and aggressive sales producer with experience penetrating and navigating Fortune 500 brands and Top Advertising Agencies * A consultative, educational sales approach with an ability to assess a clients’ needs, craft a solution, present the value proposition and close the loop on the deal * You have strong relationships with marketing decision makers for top Brands and Agencies in the West Region * Solid knowledge of the Online Media and the Programmatic Space * Exceptional interpersonal skills * Sales process aptitude: activity tracking, pipeline management, and forecasting * Prior positions to include Director or Senior Account Executive level * Travel as required in the Central US * 5-7 years of advertising network, technology, platform, data, or exchange sales experience required * Enterprise sales are a plus
