Assistant Teacher

Assist teacher in providing appropriate program for all children and maintain positive relationships with children and parents.

* Assists the teacher in providing a developmentally appropriate program for all of the children. * Assists in creating an environment that supports children's growth and development. * Develops and maintains a positive relationship with all of the children and their families. * Effectively guides children's behavior in an age appropriate and postive manner. * Constructively participates in staff meetings and attends meetings with supervisor. * Meets the physical, social, cognitive, emotional and cultural needs of individual children. * Attends a minimum of 15 hours of training every year. * Communicates appropriately with familites regarding children's daily activities both verbally and written as needed. * Ensures the safety of the children and promotes good health habits. * Works toward achievement of classroom's annual goals. * Works with colleagues and community representatives to support children and families.

**Minimum Qualifications:** * High School or equivalent preferred. * One year work experience with small children. **Required Licensure/Certification Skills:** * None
