RLI's Corporate Accounting department is currently recruiting Accounting students for the summer 2017 intern program. This intern will assist with various accounting duties and projects in the Reinsurance Accounting area. This internship is available in our Peoria, IL home office starting early June and continuing into the summer and fall (ideally, the duration of this internship could range from 1-2 years). Work hours during the summer are full time (8:30-5:00, Monday-Friday). Work hours during the school year (12-15 per week) are flexible based on your school schedule.

* Compile and analyze data for various reporting for both internal and external customers * Perform various bank and balance sheet reconciliations * Perform various systems reconciliations * Journalize various transactions & review impact on financial statements * Assist with annual renewal exhibits preparation and other project/duties as needed

* Currently enrolled full time at College/University * Prior experience in Excel, Access and Word * Organized, analytical and detail-oriented * Ability to communicate and multitask effectively with ability to prioritize workload **Required Experience** * Sophomore or Junior Accounting major is preferred * Minimum 3.0/4.0 cumulative GPA required
