Reporting to the Controller & VP of Finance, and is directly responsible for managing the investment accounting and treasury. Oversees the daily cash flow of the operations and projects future cash flow requirements. Works with the investment advisor to address cash needs at the operating companies. Knowledge of state financial regulations related to investments. Ability to analyze department expenses. Prepare quarterly department expense reports for review by department heads and vice presidents. Ability to drive projects relating to the investment and treasury area during acquisitions. Manage the escheatment process. Monitor operating leases.
This position is a member of the Finance team and provides leadership regarding managing the investment accounting and treasury practices for RiverStone Resources.
- Provides leadership to ensure company accounting procedures and reporting conform to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP).
- Understanding and in depth knowledge of accounting for complex investments including overseas stocks and hedge funds and knowledge of compliance and regulatory restrictions as it pertains to the impact of the business.
- The Individual must be a self-starter and be able to design workflows to improve efficiency with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems. Critical problem solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with people at all levels within the organization. Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects/assignments.
- Strong computer skills in a Microsoft environment Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Recruit, train and develop, and supervise department staff. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships, both internally and externally. Maintains a high degree of confidentiality.
- Models and practices RiverStone’s values.
- Provides accounting orientation to new staff
- Familiarity and knowledge of PAM ( Princeton Asset Manager) system strongly preferred.
