Prestigious Financial Institution is seeking a Database Solutions Architect. Prefer for this role to be full time but also open to either contract or contract to hire. This institution is currently searching for new solutions to store their vital data. Currently they are an Oracle Database shop and they are not satisfied so they need an individual to come in, analyze their needs and environment, and come up with solutions and alternatives to replace their current database technology with something else. This is an excellent opportunity and will put you in front of key executives and decision makers at this global well known firm. Prefer an individual who has moved companies from Oracle to another solution, preferably in the big data space.

* · Determine database structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications and programming; reviewing objectives with clients and evaluating current systems. * · Determine database solutions by designing proposed systems, defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, security backup and recovery specifications. * · Installs database systems by developing flowcharts, applying optimum access techniques, coordinating installation actions and documenting actions. * · Maintain Database performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems, calculating optimum values for parameters, evaluating, integrating, and installing new releases, completing maintenance and answering user questions. * · Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
