Android Engineer

QuikOrder.com was developed by QuikOrder, Inc., a Chicago-based company specializing in developing and maintaining internet ordering systems used by businesses of all sizes - from your local restaurant to the world's largest pizza chains - since 1997.

We seek Android Engineers to develop both consumer facing and enterprise operational applications for the restaurant industry. We’re looking for solid engineers who bring fresh ideas from their own experience and are eager to tackle new problems across the stack.

* Build consumer-facing e-commerce apps * Build operational apps for chain restaurants * Expect to use the latest frameworks and contribute to them as needed.

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience * Published native android apps in your portfolio (not phonegap, not unity, not NDK…. Java apps that use the Android SDK as recommended by Google) * Familiarity with JavaScript * Experience consuming RESTful services * Experience with Android unit testing frameworks * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team * Startup MVP mindset * Experience with material design * Experience with Couchbase or other offline peer-to-peer architectures * Familiarity with location & map services * Have social proof of your passion for software development (blog, side projects, community involvement)
