Summary
This organization is seeking a full-time, self-motivated Enterprise Systems Management engineer with a minimum of four years experience in these technology platforms: Application performance, Business process monitoring, End user computing, Data integration, and Web services. The successful candidate will have experience in these towers/platforms and in addition, has the ability to perform at a lead engineering role.
Responsibilities
* Expert on how to leverage Aternity’s software platform to deliver value and communicate that to our customers and partners. * Gather business process monitoring requirements from clients for monitoring performance of new and existing applications and configuring solutions * Responsible for delivering customer specific use case training in application performance management tooling * Responsible for post-implementation data analysis * Create data analytics and integration solutions, particularly in Java, with an emphasis on creating and maintaining reusable web services * Provide technical support to the user community on their daily usage of Enterprise Systems Management tools. Monitor and analyze system performance statistics, analyze error logs, perform system configurations and modeling. * Problem diagnosis using the enterprise systems and network management products; resolving or circumventing problems; escalating problems as defined by management policies; and customizing the products to improve the efficacy of the products in the monitoring, problem diagnosis and problem resolution procedures. Ability to diagnose and resolve production problems related to user experience, applications, middleware, database, systems, and network * Manage and maintain Enterprise scale system management infrastructure (patches, user and monitor administration). * 24x7x365 Operational Support for Enterprise Systems Management tools infrastructure * Maintain internal knowledge base systems (author and review knowledge base articles as an on-going objective plan) * Responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and securing computing platforms, applications and various monitoring solutions * Responsible for scheduling installations and upgrades of various enterprise services and solutions with established IT change management policies and procedures
Ideal Candidate
* BS in technical field or equivalent experience * Three to five years of experience with application performance and user productivity management tools, especially Aternity, HP BAC, and TeaLeaf * Three to five years of experience creating data integration and web services solutions in Java * At least three years of relevant work experience in maintaining enterprise infrastructure solutions and services * At least two years of experience with conducting and communicating root cause analysis * At least two years of experience with Microsoft Windows application troubleshooting * At least two years of troubleshooting experience with streamed or virtualized applications/desktops in a Citrix, Terminal Services, and/or VMWare environment * Proven technical skills including Javascript, SQL, XML, understanding network/HTML/HTTP traffic * Proven experience working with users, application support teams and application developers to scope & implement solutions * Understanding of complex application architectures, technologies and development lifecycles, and able to recommend methods for monitoring and instrumentation * Proven experience in a high availability, 24X7 environment * Proven problem solving skills with an emphasis on quick problem resolution * - Strong desire to learn and work with multiple applications, tools and technologies with minimal guidance and assistance * Strong professional and technical communication skills in English (both written and verbal), as well as strong interpersonal skills * Experience with direct customer interactions and multi-cultural communication environments * A reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individual who has the ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively, as well as exercise sound judgment in situations involving customers and colleagues * Ability to produce technical documentations and demonstrate solutions
