Senior Content Strategist - Media Relations

The Principal offers businesses, individuals and institutional clients a wide range of financial products and services, including retirement, asset management and insurance through its diverse family of financial services companies.

• Oversee all aspects of the entire content lifecycle: pre-production/research, editorial strategy, management, creation, publishing, optimization, promotion and evaluation for assigned business.
• Develop and implement public relations and content initiatives to drive engagement, awareness and other campaign KPIs.
• Develop and drive and marketing content initiatives that align with global brand messaging.
• Ensures consistent, timely content integration, planning and mapping across multiple channels and digital platforms including social, media, blog, newsroom etc. Storyteller and writer for a number of content needs. Sometimes acts as a company spokesperson externally.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in public relations, marketing, journalism or a related field required.
• Experience writing/editing for all forms of social and digital platforms required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including grammar and presentation skills required.
• Strong project facilitation and management skills needed.
• Basic understanding of media, including news cycles and familiarity with online and offline media.
