Registry Registrar

The registrar provides a first point of contact for patients, customers and visitors. The registrar needs to provide efficient and accurate customer service to patients with their registration and other needs. The registrar works with collaboration of the healthcare team

* Greets and direct patients promptly in a professional manner * Answers all calls promptly and courteously. Gathers appropriate information from calls and takes accurate detailed messages or gives general information about Ambulatory Care Centers. * Schedules patients’ appointments according to departmental procedure in appropriate time slots. * Collects comprehensive data set to register appropriate patients into the hospital system accurately. * Stays abreast of the changes in major insurance plans, deductibles, coinsurance and non-covered benefits.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. **Education and Experience:** * High School Diploma or equivalent * Knowledge of medical terminology preferred * 1 year of related experience with insurance benefits preferred * Experience working as a member of team and be an integral part of work group * Good customer relations and interpersonal skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills required **Computer Skills:** * Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook * Experience with EPIC preferred
