Summary
Review, evaluate and analyze work environments to control, eliminate and prevent incidents. Conduct worksite observations. Write reports and deliver trending information to prevent reoccurrence. Focus on employee, contractor and public safety.
Responsibilities
Creates safety action plans to strategize approach and provide guidance in development. * Acts as a liaison between various departments and cross functional teams. * Communicates (oral and written) with peers inside and outside of the department, providing * information or exchanging data. * Conducts field and driver observations. * Mentors and provides guidance to less experienced colleagues. * Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of * different audiences. * The ability to make recommendations based on relevant expertise. * Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions. * Knowledge of emergency planning, preparedness, disaster recovery, and * business continuity methods and best practices. * Knowledge of the basic principles and standards of ergonomics. * Knowledge of quality management systems and quality assurance and control concepts, methods, practices, and techniques (e.g., ISO 91 * system). * Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCAs) methodologies. * Knowledge of safety policies, best practices, and methodologies. * Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local safety regulations and laws (e.g., DOT, OSHA). * Making sense * of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
Ideal Candidate
**Minimum:** * Job-related experience, 5yrs * High School or General Educational Development (GED) Diploma **Desired:** * Bachelors degree * Certified Utility Safety Professional certification * Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) certification * Pipeline construction safety * Gas storage process safety * Drill rigging safety operations * Construction Safety
