Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-funding and post-funding audits on FHA, VA, USDA and conventional loans to determine if loan met applicable guidelines
  • Audit early payment default files to determine if loan met applicable guidelines and levels of risk were properly analyzed
  • Ability to present results of reviews in written format
  • Analyze audit findings for trends and produce scheduled quality control reports and make recommendations as to appropriate corrective action
Ideal Candidate
  • Knowledge of federal regulations
  • 4+ years residential mortgage regulation and guideline experience
  • Core understanding of loan process
  • Strong quality control and/or underwriting experience
  • High School diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with various levels within the organization
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent detail orientation, critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated judgment and decision making ability
  • Displays excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
