Summary
The Quality Engineer will be working with the hardware design and operations team to develop and implement quality processes and quality management systems in a fast growing global fitness business. You will work with our manufacturing partners to implement processes and systems to detect and improve quality, as well as provide direction to the design team. You're highly motivated, super organized, hyper-flexible and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment. This job is based in New York and will require 10% travel. Fluency in Mandarin is required.
Responsibilities
* Work with our manufacturing partners and service technicians to implement robust quality systems * Work with internal customers to create, audit, and improve internal processes using data to make effective business decisions and improvements * Ensure creation of proper documentation for existing processes and establishing guidelines for enforcement * Drive continuous improvement within operations and design * Work with manufacturing partners to establish and maintain supplier quality process, vendor qualification processes and vendor audits * Design test plans to assure robust verification of products and accessories * Drive root cause identification activities to improve product quality through corrective actions and preventive measures * Interface with customer experience team for quality-related tasks, audits and incidents and collect and summarize customer quality data to drive improvement to drive down warranty costs and improve customer satisfaction * Support R&D, marketing, and operations for the development, modification, and qualification of new products and existing released products. * Develop, analyze, and present Key Performance Indicators, as they relate to product quality.
Ideal Candidate
* BS in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering or related discipline. * Strong communications skills in English and Mandarin. * 3+ years experience in Quality management * Regulatory Compliance experience a plus * Lean/Six Sigma training, Green or Black Belt a plus * Experience with ISO 9001 a plus
