Summary
PCM is looking for an Oracle Business Development Manager to work with named or large key accounts to provide product solutions, develop new business, ensure satisfaction, and maintain positive ongoing relationships. Works with other internal sales personnel to propose specific solutions for a given account. Responsible for the overall sales strategies and generating results for the client.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with internal sales personnel to propose specific marketing and promotional campaigns; Identify Oracle sales tools for increasing PCM Account Manager productivity * Provide Primary Support for new opportunities (entering Deal Registrations, collaborating with Pre-Sales on Configurations, and writing up NSR Special Pricing requests) * Educate the selling organization on current and newly launched products (Oracle Database Appliance, powered by Intel Xeon) both formally via funded marketing activities and informally via team huddles * Conduct Sales Trainings & Develop sales collateral to assist account managers in providing Oracle solutions to their customers. Be able to articulate the differences and advantages of Intel vs SPARC-based hardware. * Create and execute Technical Implementation training strategy to ensure Field Engineers are both knowledgeable on Oracle solutions and PCM can acquire resell rights / OPN Specialization where applicable. * Create and manage and Oracle ODA & Engineered Systems Program & Oracle Cloud Program Execution Plans, for PCM, PCMG and Tiger Direct. Includes the identity of customers to be engaged with, and pipeline/revenue to be delivered * Monitor the Oracle Cloud and Oracle ODA Program results and report out the results to Oracle via weekly calls and regular reporting delivered via e-mail * Interface with PCM operations, finance, and platform development teams on activities associated with build out of the Oracle Cloud Program * Identify obstacles within the PCM organizational structure as it relates to Oracle and determine a corrective course of action * Work with Public Sector renewal team to communicate PCMG value, promote customer stickiness, and drive upgrade path and upsell opportunity * Promote Oracle upsell / cross sell opportunities to customers in place of renewals for commercial accounts * Build and nurture relationships nationally with the Oracle Sales team to drive incremental results around Oracle Cloud and Oracle Database Appliance Programs * Provide assistance to PCM international sales teams in Canada and UK as needed. * Gather feedback from Oracle, End Users, and the PCM Sales teams and make recommendations for modifications to marketing programs and other Oracle support vehicles. * Drive attendance to Oracle online (Webinar) and on-premise regional Sales and Technical training events. * Promote an inspiring and positive attitude during face-to-face, verbal, and written communications * Promote an inspiring and positive attitude during face-to-face, verbal, and written communication. * Ability to reach appropriate resolution in many varied situations without damaging internal or external relationships * Effectively interface at many levels with senior Sales and Executive management * Use relationship management techniques to develop selling opportunities within existing customer accounts * Provide status information to Manager including forecast/pipeline information
Ideal Candidate
* 3-5 years information technology sales preferred * Previous Oracle / Sun experience preferred * Experience working within the technology infrastructure Value Added Reseller (VAR) space preferred * Self -Starter with the ability to influence others * Highly motivated and able to work independently * Creative problem solver * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on persuasion and presentation abilities * A bachelor's degree is preferred
