Senior Staff Accountant

Palmer Group is working with a large, global professional services firm to place a Senior Staff Accountant. This position will be temporary to start, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. * Perform wide variety of accounting functions including analysis and reporting * Work with various departments including fiduciary, cash control, and general ledger * Prepare, review, and approve journal entries and statements * Coordinate revenue and expense accruals * Perform higher level reconciliation of administrative systems to other sources * Maintain compliance with corporate policies, carrier agreements, and all GAAP, tax, and statutory regulations * Assist with development and implementation of improvements to accounting policies and procedures

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting * Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills * Familiarity with Oracle and Essbase a plus * CPA or MBA strongly preferred
