Summary
The Senior Product Manager for Greenhouse Gas is responsible for managing the customer-facing implementation of PG&E’s AB 32 Cap and Trade program responsibilities as related to certain classes of our customers. PG&E incurs costs to comply with the state’s program to limit greenhouse gas emissions under the Cap and Trade program. PG&E is also allocated certain allowance proceeds which must be returned to customers to help mitigate the impacts of increased costs in rates. The GHG Senior Product Manager will ensure that residential and small business electric customers, and natural gas customers, receive the appropriate regulatory-approved GHG-related charges and credits on their bills. The position may support additional customer classes as necessary. The position will work closely with regulatory and IT colleagues to oversee the implementation of the charges and credits, and with Marketing and regulators to ensure that customers are informed in a timely and accurate manner. This position is also responsible for managing the program’s financials, and for contributing to regulatory filings and data requests as appropriate.
Responsibilities
* Manage the customer-facing implementation of PG&E’s AB 32 Cap and Trade program responsibilities. * Ensure that customers receive the appropriate regulatory-approved GHG-related charges and credits on their bills. Work closely with IT, regulatory, rates, marketing and other teams to accomplish this. * Manage the program’s financials. * Provide content for and review of regulatory filings, advice letters, applications, data requests, etc. * Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
Ideal Candidate
**Minimum** * Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Public Policy, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience required * 6+ years of experience in product management or program management **Desired** * Experience working with IT requirements and planning * Experience in complex regulatory environments * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively. * Ability to lead implementation of various workstreams across the enterprise. * Basic knowledge of and/or experience in the customer services functional lines. * Understanding of AB 32 and ARB regulation as it relates to cap and trade revenue return
