Summary
We’re looking for a Business Planning Analyst, an entry-level position supporting the Merchandise Planner, that will manage cross-channel inventory movements in order to maximize profitability and reduce liabilities.
Responsibilities
* Develop work plan and generate all purchase orders each season in accordance with the line list to meet vendor deadlines for e-comm and retail stores. * Refine the process to manage edits, and execute edits to purchase orders to maximize accuracy and efficiency. * Assist the planning team to develop analysis and documentation for key meetings including hindsight meetings and investment reviews. * Forecast sales and inventory levels for key styles to target inventory levels and in-stock rates. * Oversee and manage weekly allocation of replenishment and new product to stores. * On a monthly level ensure that all launch product is allocated to stores in time for flip. * Monitor weekly store inventory levels and benchmark against weeks of supply targets. * Complete weekly sales analysis on inventory turn and sell through. * Implement new processes and systems for replenishment as new stores open. * Communicate low and other stock issues to planning team for communication to shops. * Assist the planning team with departmental goals and processes.
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Merchandise Planning or Allocation. * Demonstrated understanding of retail measurements (e.g. sales, weeks of supply, inventory turn, sell through, etc.) and how to impact them. * Strong analytic, problem solving and judgment skills. * Detail oriented and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment. * Retail POS system experience. * Proficient with Microsoft Excel. * Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities. * Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with peers and cross-functional teams. * Strong written and verbal communication skills.
