Principal Product Manager - Data Center Networking

Oracle is a computer technology corporation developing and marketing computer hardware systems and enterprise software products.

As an individual contributing member of the product development division, you will define product specifications and strategy. Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Gather and analyze information to define product requirements and review design specifications. Communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Create and review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product lifecycle milestones based on corporate priorities. Provide timely and accurate progress status via status reports, and weekly meetings.

Work as part of a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget. As a member of the product development division, you will define product specifications and or strategy. * Ideal candidate will have experience in at least one of the following areas - Ethernet switching, Network services (VPN, Firewall, Load Balancing, etc.), Infiniband switching, Data Center and IO virtualization, Orchestration, and SDN/NFV. * Strong engineering background. Master’s in EE/CS is preferred. * 7+ years of core hardware or software development experience, with significant years in product development companies * 4+ years of proven experience in product management. * Expertise and prior experience in the area of Data Center Networking. Ideal candidate will have experience in at least one of the following areas - Ethernet switching, Network services (VPN, Firewall, Load Balancing, etc.), Infiniband switching, Data Center and IO virtualization, Orchestration, and SDN/NFV. * Excellent communication and presentation skills. Should be experienced in communicating and working with top management. * Ability to write technical and thought leadership collateral, press releases, blogs etc. * Ability to multi-task and deliver under pressure * Exposure to hardware or software development methodology * Open to learning new technologies and be ready to work on unfamiliar areas that lack clarity * Organizational awareness and proven experience in collaborating with globally-dispersed teams * MBA is preferred but not required * Stay current with advances in Data Center technologies and trends * Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
