Financial Systems Analyst

OneBeacon is seeking a Financial Systems Analyst to assist with the support of the non-IT dependent systems that are used by Finance, along with supporting the GAAP/SEC group. Those support functions include maintaining system security, reports, chartfields, rules and internal/external reporting.

* Designs, configures, implements and supports the security structure of the OneBeacon PeopleSoft and Cognos TM1 applications. * Designs, configures, implements and supports the workflow structure of PeopleSoft General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense and eProcurement modules. * Assists in the maintenance of the General Ledger chart of accounts and updates the various chartfield hierarchies. Ensures the values shared between PeopleSoft and Cognos TM1 remain synchronized. * Prepares reconciliations between PeopleSoft and Cognos TM1 for various cubes - both during the monthly close process and the annual budget cycle. * Assists in the design, implementation and maintenance of General Ledger functionality and reports. * Assists in building a strong relationship between Financial Systems and the Information Technology area. Provides information to help prioritize the various financial system projects. * Supports the planning and forecasting process by assisting in the development of various financial models to facilitate and control the flow of data. Ensures that business users have the proper tools to reach stated goals and to continuously improve job performance. * Assists in the preparation of technical specification to help the Information Technology area in the analysis, design and development of technical solutions. * Performs ad-hoc analysis and reporting for management as required.

**Requirements:** * Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Enterprise, Cognos TM1, current Windows applications, Microsoft SQL and Analysis Services and Other Microsoft financial application products. * Ability to communicate with various stakeholders clearly and logically in both written and verbal form. * Consistently identifies issues, root causes and makes business-focused recommendations. * Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting. * Operates with sense of urgency to achieve stated goals and objectives. * Must be able to analyze reports or data and complete a series of tasks after reading a set of instructions or documentation. **Education and Experience:** * Bachelor’s degree or comparable, related work experience required. * 2 – 5 years of experience
