Apply Now Omnigon is looking for a Solutions Architect to oversee the execution and organization of development on large-scale engagements.
The Solutions Architect is responsible for the success of the project. The Solutions Architect is heavily involved in all aspects of the project, from participating in technical requirements gathering with the client, to project definition and planning. The Solutions Architect is responsible for working with other engineering managers to identify appropriate architecture and overall approach, while proposing alternative solutions as needed and supplying cost-benefit analysis. The ideal candidate has extensive experience as a full-stack developer and a history of successfully delivering complex projects for demanding clients.
General
- Strong interpersonal communication and collaborative problem-solving skills
- Proficient in inspiring confidence in the client with the ability to communicate effectively with various levels within a client organization
- Experience with business requirements gathering and their translation to technical requirements, strategic architecture and design
- Ability and willingness to travel ~20%, as needed.
Oversight
- Experience developing and leading large-scale technology engagements
- Familiarity with various UML forms and expertise in the development of use cases, class diagrams, and occasionally state diagrams
- An excellent understanding of best practices across technologies (client/server-side, QA, deployment, project management etc.)
Technical
- Architecture: fault tolerance, scalability, separation of concerns
- Front-end: Responsive Web, card based layouts, front end optimizations, CDN, caching (browser, cdn, web servers)
- Back-end/CMS: overall understanding/oversight
- Mobile: application configuration/bootstrap, OS Stats, OS Trends

Expert-level knowledge in Web 2.0 technologies, including AJAX, social networking and blog platforms, widget development, and mobile
- Ability to propose and diagram virtual/physical environments
- Familiarity with:
- Ad Integration on Web and Apps - IAB guidelines, latest trends
- Image Manipulation Trends (Cloudinary)
- Web and Mobile Analytics (GA, Omniture)
- SEO/Search
- CDN products and settings - Akamai, Fastly, etc
- OTT/Video Delivery - overall concepts across Web and Apps
- User Management/Security - approached in a scalable way
- Marketing - campaign management, email marketing, etc
- Familiarity with AWS Offering
- Experience integrating Video and Video Management Systems
- Understanding Automated/Continuous Deployment model
