Senior Business Analyst

Gather business and operational requirements for new features or enhancements to existing features to develop and optimize tools, assist building and prioritizing the development backlog and test and measure the developed tools against requirements.

• Create operational and software requirements, process documents and other operational documentation
• Work with cross functional groups including R&D, Tech Ops and Data Operations to define and implement tools, technology and platform requirements
• Identify, analyze and set priorities for production tool enhancements.
• Could be a product owner for an Agile team
• Work with content management systems, data warehousing, data cleansing, data mining, web services and cloud computing
• Develop System Acceptance test plans and test matrices
• Identify tests and measures for the developed tools against requirements.
• Focus on the content creation processes through the aid of analytics and data driven improvement methodologies

• BS in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, GIS/Geography or related technology field
• Experience in business and systems analysis
• Functional knowledge of software development practices, including Agile methodology, software requirements development and system testing
• Expertise in analytics and data storage/processing technologies
• Excellent communication skills: presentation, conflict resolution, customer focused, can communicate with all levels
• Knowledge of map building activities and standard tools used in map production: Windows software, browsers, MS Office
• 6+ years in system analysis or business analysis or software development
