Summary
Nextdoor is looking to bring on our first dedicated Content Writer/Strategist! In this role, you will work with both the marketing and product teams to ensure that our brand voice is creative, cohesive, and most importantly, neighborly. The ideal candidate has experience developing both strong marketing materials and product content. Here, you'll work cross-functionally to improve existing copy, build out and implement brand guidelines, and develop the Nextdoor message going forward. To be successful in this position you need to be passionate about creating magical experiences online, a true team player, and have the desire to use the power of the written word to further our mission of building stronger communities across the globe.
Responsibilities
* Partner with design, marketing, and product teams to create and execute a content strategy that resonates with Nextdoor’s diverse audience * Develop copy across our web and mobile product flows, emails, information architecture, and go-to-market messaging * Identify gaps in our existing messaging and define ways to strengthen our brand and voice * Establish and evangelize standards for content structure, voice, and tone to express the Nextdoor brand throughout our products * Edit all Nextdoor content for grammar, punctuation, style, clarity, and spelling
Ideal Candidate
* 5+ years experience copywriting and copyediting in brand marketing, product development, or advertising * Portfolio that demonstrates your ability to adjust your brand voice and tone based on your audience * Experience writing product content and copy-editing for mobile/web products * Comfortable creating and iterating on copy that will be used in A/B product testing or performance-based marketing tests * Great storytelling ability, an eye for detail, and perfect grammar * Experience working with agile teams, including quick adaptation and iteration * Experience collaborating with external creative agencies, and freelancers * Bachelor’s Degree in english, writing, or literature preferred
