Big Data Software Architect

At Networked Insights, we enable brands to connect with and expand their opportunity audiences. Our solution, Kairos, analyzes and organizes real-time consumer data from the social web to uncover strategic, actionable insights. Kairos helps brands deeply understand their opportunity audiences, create content that connects with them, choose the right media investments, and track the connectedness of those audiences.

As a Big Data Software Architect, you will be key member of our architecture team, and will focus on the back end systems of our Big Data platform. We are looking for people who are passionate about architecture, are hands-on in coding, and are innovative problem solvers ready to jump in alongside teams throughout the organization. Our platform uses the latest Big Data and Google Cloud technologies such as Storm, ElasticSearch, and Google Big Query to power our Kairos platform.

* Provide architectural support and guidance to teams throughout the organization, both as a technical leader and an individual contributor * Design and build programs utilizing Java, Lucene, ElasticSearch, Storm, Spark, and Google Cloud Compute * Execute performance tests * Work closely with Devops Engineers in system design

**What You’ll Need** * Minimum of 6-7 years of development experience * 3-5 years of Java development experience * 1-2 years of Big Data * Experience preferred with Linux, Web Services, Postgress, Lucene, ElasticSearch * Clustered computing such as Storm, Spark, and Google Cloud * Experience working in an Agile environment is preferred * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field of Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience **Who You Are** * High energy and drive, coupled with resourcefulness, required to succeed in a start-up environment * Servant Leader who is willing to do whatever is needed to get the work done * Ability to shift priorities quickly and efficiently, and easily adapt to change * Excited about the Big Data revolution, with a passion for translating huge collections of data into actionable insights * Self-directed and detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills * Assertive personality with ability to obtain results with minimal direction * High initiative, results-oriented drive * Excellent time management and prioritization skills; ability to prioritize and manage competing tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
