Summary

As a Big Data Software Architect, you will be key member of our architecture team, and will focus on the back end systems of our Big Data platform. We are looking for people who are passionate about architecture, are hands-on in coding, and are innovative problem solvers ready to jump in alongside teams throughout the organization. Our platform uses the latest Big Data and Google Cloud technologies such as Storm, ElasticSearch, and Google Big Query to power our Kairos platform.

Responsibilities

Provide architectural support and guidance to teams throughout the organization, both as a technical leader and an individual contributor
Design and build programs utilizing Java, Lucene, ElasticSearch, Storm, Spark, and Google Cloud Compute
Execute performance tests
Work closely with Devops Engineers in system design

Ideal Candidate

**What You’ll Need**

* Minimum of 6-7 years of development experience
* 3-5 years of Java development experience
* 1-2 years of Big Data
* Experience preferred with Linux, Web Services, Postgress, Lucene, ElasticSearch
* Clustered computing such as Storm, Spark, and Google Cloud
* Experience working in an Agile environment is preferred
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field of Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
