Junior Python / Big Data Engineer

At Networked Insights, we enable brands to connect with and expand their opportunity audiences. Our solution, Kairos, analyzes and organizes real-time consumer data from the social web to uncover strategic, actionable insights. Kairos helps brands deeply understand their opportunity audiences, create content that connects with them, choose the right media investments, and track the connectedness of those audiences.

Our Data Engineer will work on collecting, storing, processing and building Business Intelligence and Analytics applications. The primary focus will be on building datasets that power web applications that provide insights across different industry verticals. The position will also be responsible for integrating them with the architecture used across the company.

• Create and deliver big data applications for business intelligence and product development
• Make advanced analytics available on a large scale to client facing teams
• Define data retention and ETL processes
• Integrate Big Data tools and frameworks required to provide requested capabilities
• Build and maintain tools to increase the productivity of client facing teams

What You’ll Need

• Expert competency coding in Python
• Experience using Pentaho
• Experience with open source machine learning toolkits such as SparkML or H2O
• Experience using SQL (Oracle, MySQL, Postgres) and/or NoSQL (HBase, Redis, MongoDB)
• Experience with Web services/REST services
• Some experience with web application technologies (HTML5, Javascript, JQuery, node.js)
• Bachelors in Computer Science or related field (competencies in data structures & algorithms)
