Summary
The Assistant Production Manager will join our factory family in Crete, Nebraska - one of the largest wet pet food manufacturing facilities in the U.S. In this specific role, you’ll safely produce quality products at the right rate and the right time, using continuous improvement processes and tools to achieved desired goals. You’ll provide analytical support to Operations Management, which will help facilitate continuous cost reduction and process improvement efforts using computer based technologies, statistical techniques, data analysis, and Nestlé Industrial performance tools. We will rely on your sound recommendations, which will impact efficiency, throughput, cost reduction, productivity and waste reduction.
Responsibilities
* Provide problem solving expertise by identifying root causes for problem areas, reducing potential production bottlenecks and implementing cost savings ideas and waste reduction opportunities * Identify best practices and provide training to enable process improvements and reduce changeover times * Assist with plant operations, including supervisory and shift coverage and managing a portion of Operations when needed * Perform all other duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
**Education:** * Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Management or related degree **Experience:** * 4+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or military environment
