Senior Product Manager

The Nest Senior Product Manager has a track record of developing and delivering amazing and well loved products to the market. This individual will have experience with consumer product development, strong analytical skills, a strong technical background and must be able to demonstrate whole product (hardware, software, and services) thinking. They will be the champion of the product line and represent their products through engineering, design, marketing and sales. They will be facile at understanding how their products will drive revenue, and will be able to deliver a strategy for their products across multiple sales channels. This person will develop the use cases and user stories for their products that will be used by all teams to create, market and sell. They will deliver a vision for how Nest will compete successfully in the security camera market utilizing Nest’s core capabilities.

* Drive the overall product line vision and execution * Work closely with Engineering and Design to develop feature specifications and whole-product solutions, from HW through the app, for the Cam * Responsible for feature trade-offs and prioritization during the product development process ensuring that the products being built meet the defined specifications * Work closely with the Field Trial team to ensure product feedback is being fed back into the development and design teams to deliver the best product possible * Be the hub between engineering and design to ensure we are designing products that can be successfully built with thoughtful design * Actively participate in BRB’s to represent product and customer quality * Work closely with other hardware teams to create thoughtful product integrations * Work with the Google Home and the Works With Nest teams to create thoughtful camera integrations * Be a spokesperson for Camera products

* MBA preferred * Experience in consumer hardware, with security camera area expertise as a plus * Demonstrated ability to convert product features into a clear and compelling product vision, and a track record of execution * Product management experience with hardware + software + services products, ideally in the video or imaging field * Thorough understanding of various consumer product metrics and how to interpret them to decipher actionable insights * Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, to learn new business and technical skills quickly and to adapt to changing environments * Thrives in chaos, obsessed with customer experience, fanatic about the details, scrappy and willing to wear multiple hats, will do what it takes to get the job done, passionate about how technology can make people’s lives better * Fast paced, good communicator, problem solver, self-starter, analytical * Very high attention to detail * Passionate about Nest’s mission **Minimum Qualifications:** * 10+ years of product management experience * Proven track record of successful product releases * BS/CS or equivalent technical degree * 5+ years team management experience
