Facility Manager

The Des PLaines location is currently seeking for a plant manager that will be responsible for managing the overall performance and profitability of a complex 3PL warehouse facility. The manager leads and manages all activities related to the functioning of the distribution center in order to meet or exceed customer expectations and to achieve facility and company goals for operating revenue, growth, and operational excellence. In addition, the manager establishes and maintains an effective relationship with their staff, customer contacts, and internal Neovia support groups.

* Oversee all aspects of operations, administration, and customer service within the facility * Ensure maximum return on revenue through effective operational planning and business development * Overall responsibility for financial management, P&L results and management results to achieve operating income plan * Acts as key point of contact for customer(s), working through service and KPI targets, contractual issues, and scope adjustments * Responsible for training and development of personnel * Ensure compliance with all federal, state, or local regulatory agencies. (i.e. OSHA, DOT) * Recruit and/or contract personnel to meet the requirements of current and projected business within the facility * Intermittently perform the work of each aspect of the facility to provide support and guidance * Weekly performance reporting, review of facility financials, and various audit compliance for internal/external customers * Relationship development and negotiation with vendors, as needed * Support sales and business development and has the ability to develop an effective plan, integrate and handle existing and new business, as needed * Function as liaison between corporate groups and facility personnel * Ensure a clean, properly organized, safe, and healthy environment for all personnel, including all facilities and equipment in a good state of repair * Manages and motivates subordinate staff, reviews, and assesses performance, supports their professional development to optimize their contribution * Manage facility up to 200 employees

* Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience * 5-8 years’ relevant experience in warehousing * 1-3 years’ management experience * Proven track record in leading/managing distribution operations * Demonstrated strong leadership, business planning, financial analysis, negotiation and customer satisfaction skills * Demonstrated knowledge of effective organization and project management skills * Ability to work effectively in a business environment characterized by complexity, ambiguity, and rapid change * Excellent interpersonal, communication, change management and presentation skills (written and verbal) * Demonstrated ability to effectively resolve customer complaints and problems and restore or maintain business * Adherence to the Company's Core Values **Additional Desired Qulifications** * Warehouse experience * Strong customer relationship experience * Lean Sigma experience * 3PL experience **Key Skills and Competencies** * Ability to work in a fast paced environment. * Good verbal and written communication skills. * Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other business areas. * Working knowledge of computerized applications (MS Office, email, WMS). **Physical Requirements** * May require walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping * May require lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling items of varying weight
