Distribution Supervisor

Supervises the shipment or receipt of goods to or from various locations. Supervises and leads with a sound knowledge of logistic and supply chain, material management, and distribution/transportation processes and policies to meet the business requirements.

• Supervise and lead the material handling and warehousing functions required in the
• receiving, processing, storing, moving, and shipping of parts, materials, equipment and supplies.
• Supervise and lead work from a variety of source documents to verify quantities, parts, destinations and timing.
• Supervise and lead the uses of machines for weighing, banding, wrapping, and
• packaging.
• Supervise and lead the use, safe operation, and servicing of mechanical, motorized, and or electrical equipment in the facilities work environment.
• Supervise and lead the performance of specialized clerical, and documentation duties.
• Supervise and lead workgroup.
• Responds to client calls and provides necessary information and assistance to complete orders.
• Supervise and lead in other duties as assigned by management.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years’ relevant experience.
• 1-3 years’ management experience
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to read/write and interpret documents

Additional Desired Qualification

• College degree preferred.
• Warehouse experience.
• Logistics experience.
• Six Sigma experience

• Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other business areas.

Physical Requirements

• Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
• Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight.
• Requires work from heights of up to 20 feet from floor.
• Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
