Senior DevOps Engineer

**About the Position** In this position, the ideal candidate will help us improve our infrastructure and continuous deployment stack. The qualified candidate will programmatically manage infrastructures in both our public and private clouds. DevOps will work with the TechOps, Engineering and QA teams to create and set standards for build and config management, monitoring in addition to building and maintaining stage and test environments code to staging and production. Because we work on the bleeding edge of a lot of technologies, we look for individuals that problem solve creatively, learn quickly and work productively both independently and collaboratively. **Responsibilities** * Define standards for build processes and configuration management * Build and maintain Chef cookbook pipeline * Build test, stage and production environments * Accurately document operational processes * Managing existing virtualized environments - vmware, libvirt * Maintain OpenStack and Swift clusters * Collaborate with Engineering and QA teams to meet SLAs * Participate in on-call rotation

**Requirements** * Experienced Linux engineer * Experience with OpenStack suite of services, including operational skills with libvirt/QEMU * Extensive experience with Chef * Highly proficient in high level script languages like Ruby or Python, as well as Linux script environments like bash * Experience with a myriad of monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix and Cacti to name a few * A deep desire to squeeze out as much performance as possible * Experience with high availability infrastructure designs in a high SLA environment * A desire to automate everything! * Experience with distributed and large-scale software systems * BS/BA/MS+ in Computer Science or equivalent experience * 5+ years of relevant industry experience **Bonus skills** * Database administration experience (MySQL, Riak, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis) * Previous experience with Cisco UCS and F5 * In depth understanding of the network layer - routers, switches, firewalls and load balancing * Experience with containerization
