Summary
Based in San Francisco and reporting to the General Manager Home Care, this individual will be responsible for the data enablement of the business team. He/she is responsible for all standard reporting, data tools and process as well as providing quantitative consumer insights support across the 3 core business units (Home Care, Hand & Body Care, Fabric Care).
Responsibilities
* Facilitate the ongoing data enablement of the business team * Manage monthly reporting process; generate and improve reporting suite, drive the creation of new tools to help drive insights into action on the core method and Ecover businesses * Lead the monthly consumption/data review in company wide S&OP meetings * Drive pricing and promotion effectiveness approaches across the business teams * Lead consumer promotion performance evaluation and improvement recommendations * Support the GMs in the annual business review process * Champion new data insights into business strategy recommendations * Evaluate competitive activity across key business metrics: pricing, promotion, distribution, new item performance * Partner with sales planning to evaluate and improve sales standards for each of the core businesses * Lead the ongoing review of key customer panel data insights * Actively participate in and contribute to the method culture and experience * Work reception once a month * we are not joking. at method, everyone in San Francisco takes a spin as receptionist. costumes welcome.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be maniacally focused, organized and detail oriented with applicable experience at a syndicated data provider or consumer packaged goods company. We’re looking for a creative mind who’s flexible, nimble, doesn’t have an ego and is ok with getting down and dirty … a positive outlook and sense of humor will serve you well. * 2-3 years experience in category management / analytics at a major syndicated data provider or established consumer packaged goods company * Great technical skills; Excel proficiency required * Ability to communicate with data and information in a clear and concise fashion * Proficient with syndicated data (IRI/Nielsen) * Strong organizational skills * Ability to juggle and manage timelines and deadlines * Ability to stay cool and calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment * Functional knowledge of syndicated insights concepts and metrics
