Summary
As Product Manager for Data Analytics, you will research the needs of our customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to provide them with the data and analytics tools they need to meet their business objectives and make better decisions. You will partner with a variety of colleagues to understand and address their key data and decision-making needs We’re looking for energetic, talented professionals to grow our team -- people that understand data and are passionate about creating new data products to help our customers and stakeholders make better sense of the 3D world. Our ideal candidate possesses a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. This candidate is comfortable analyzing data and has experience implementing and scaling data infrastructure. She or he communicates effectively with numerous stakeholders to ensure their data and analytics needs are met.
Responsibilities
* Understand the current and future data needs of external and internal stakeholders * Understand the key business drivers and questions for different functional teams at Matterport, and for Matterport’s wide variety of customers * Partner with internal teams to understand how data can help drive better business outcomes * Define and build dashboards, ad-hoc analysis tools, and other solutions to address key customer and stakeholder needs * Anticipate future data needs as the organization grows in size and complexity * Help stakeholders from executives to analysts to customers adopt and use available data and analytics tools * Build data infrastructure which can scale with the organization * Work with the product management team to ensure that relevant data is tracked and collected across all product features and applications * Evaluate vendors and tools who can help Matterport build and scale our data infrastructure * Collaborate with engineering to ensure data infrastructure is adequately scalable and well-maintained * Negotiate and manage data vendor relationships as relevant
Ideal Candidate
* 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years in a data-related role * Familiarity with analytics products (such as Google Analytics, Looker, etc) and data infrastructure products (e.g. Amazon Redshift) is a plus * Proven success bringing a new product in a related area to life, from concept through execution and maintenance * Desire and ability to deeply understand customer and stakeholder needs * You can get past a customer, client, or stakeholder’s initial feature request to understand their true problem * Genuine enjoyment in geeking out on data * When you do an analysis, you know exactly where your data came from and you can discuss the strengths and weaknesses of your approach intelligently * A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
