Summary
MarketStar currently has an opportunity for a SLED Solution Sales Specialist to work with the industry leader in virtualization software. The Solution Sales Specialist will increase key resellers’ awareness and position our client’s small products and solutions within the State Local Government and Education (SLED) vertical. The ideal candidate should be well organized and comfortable presenting technical solutions to decision makers, sales professionals and technical experts. This is a field-based sales role working onsite with a strategic reseller.
Responsibilities
* Educate resellers; drive awareness of our client among partners, corporate resellers and distributors * Schedule meetings with resellers and their representatives; * Maintain a strong appointment calendar * Generate and maintain opportunity/revenue pipeline; help account managers close deals * Make joint prospecting/sales calls with partners * Gather intelligence and submit timely reports on the state of business * Organize content and train representatives on products, promotions and programs * Conduct reseller/distributor floor days, promotions, lunch and learns, and other events * Attend and present at events when necessary * Create and maintain effective partner relationships * Maintain effective communication with manager * Provide accurate reporting on opportunities (sales stages, close dates, needs etc
Ideal Candidate
* Two or more years’ experience selling or educating others on a technical product or solution * A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience Two or more years’ experience selling or educating others on a technical product or solution * Ability to conduct effective presentations and training * Experience in an IT or channel sales environment * Computer skills: Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com * Small business networking technology knowledge * Strong verbal and written communication skills
