Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Manpower of Owensboro is recruiting for an experienced Shipping & Receiving Clerk for a client of our in Hawesville, KY.

* Responsible for all activities surrounding inbound and outbound loads * Management and review of loads customer compliance, allocations, special requests, and on-time shipping. * Responsible for daily reporting and communication with other office and warehouse positions. * Prioritizes the unloading of inbound based on daily reports * Assigns all inbound documents to warehouse associate for unloading purposes * Keys inbound orders into internal system * Assigns put-away locations for inbound loads * Communicates trailers needed for outbound orders * Communicates with customers * Miscellaneous duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or other management

* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals * Ability to write routine reports and correspondence * Ability to speak effectively before groups or customers or employees **Additional skills:** * Ability to use Office related software including Word, Excel, and Access * Ability to create and maintain Excel documents and spreadsheets as needed * Ability to interact with and manipulate data within an in-house database * Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form **Shift:** * 1st shift - 7am - 3pm with some overtime * Education Requirements: * High School Diploma or GED required * 2+ years of previous receiving & shipping experience **Screening Requirements:** * Full background check * Drug screening
