Summary
A night shift manager position of the Sanitation department, a food service division at Lyons Magnus, an international food and beverage manufacturer headquartered in Fresno, California. This position is responsible for supervising in the areas of sanitation and related activities in a manner that supports the operations of production of the organization at the Fresno, CA plant.
Responsibilities
* Supports the mission, values and vision of the company. * Maintains the best interest of Lyons Magnus first and foremost. * Work with employees of Lyons Magnus in a positive and constructive manner to maintain a professional relationship. Demonstrates courtesy, discretion, friendliness and diplomacy. * Works within a team environment to share information and help others as needed. * Responsible for ensuring all plant activities (all processing lines, fillers, tanks and equipment) are cleaned prior to running product the following day(s). * Ensure all reports follow a strict regimen of safety precautions while cleaning, CIPing, COPing, etc. * Supervise staff to ensure proper concentrations of chemicals and temperatures are reached to maintain an effective cleaning. Assures that all lines are cleared with ATP and Allergen swabs at the end of each CIP cycle. * Develops and maintains Master Sanitation schedule, and completes daily Sanitation Recap report at the end of each shift. * In conjunction with the QA Director, maintain and develop cleaning procedures for all equipment, lines, areas, etc., to provide effective and efficient of job performance. * Ensure all cleaning equipment and tools are maintained for peak performance and effective cleaning. Required to report any apparent issues and recommendations to QA Director at all times. * Provide support and work in conjunction with Production Supervisors to ensure all changeovers are completed properly with exceptional sanitary results. * Study and provide technical assistance to QA Director for continually improving methodologies and programs. * Provide support and contribute in troubleshooting any QA related issues. * Perform or instruct reports to perform any requested task given by QA Director, or Director of Operations. * Make recommendations to QA Director/ Director of Operations of personnel training needs/requirements.
Ideal Candidate
* Working knowledge and application of Food and Beverage Manufacturing, including kettle mixers, pumps and heaters; electrical panels * Ability to work safely with liquid and powder chemicals * Previous experience supervising employees * Working knowledge and experience with CIP fundamentals (Chemical Conc./Flow Rates/Time/Temp) * Ability to communicate verbally and with email to management regarding Sanitation issues and solutions. * Ability to comprehend and execute written SSOP’s * Ability to investigate sanitation issues, identify root causes and develop and implement solutions. * Ability to use lab equipment to swab lines for ATP and Allergen residues * Strong desire to learn rapidly with a goal of developing into a management level position. * Bilingual – English/Spanish preferred but not mandatory * Food Safety, GMPs * High School Education Required/College preferred. * Minimum 10 years experience in sanitation, production or related field of foods and beverages manufacturing.
