- Direct the operation of the WTI distribution facilities to meet financial, strategic and performance goals, while servicing customer requirements and expectations in a professional and timely manner.
- Responsible for Temporary Agency relationship for operations associates. Assure agency contractual obligations including responsiveness, associate quality, quantity, and cost targets are being realized.
- Responsible to understand the needs and values of the customer, and anticipate and plan for changes in their requirements through development of a close working partnership Libbey Customer Relations Team.
- Ensures all jobs are conducted in accordance with standard work instructions and compliance guidelines.
- Make innovative recommendations to the Supply Chain Management to cut costs, improve quality or increase productivity.
- Coordinates activities and teams with other Libbey operations to facilitate efficient warehouse operations.
- Maintain accurate inventory control procedures to ensure proper storage and space utilization. Work to maintain Libbey’s 98% accuracy goal for Finished Goods inventory.
- Assist with budget development for WTI operations, and ensure operation within approved budget.
- Maintain operation metrics and recognition of departmental performance (cost per case, inventory accuracy, on-time shipment, budget adherence, etc.).
- Responsible to manage in a cost effective manner all building, grounds, and equipment maintenance.
- Conduct Performance Reviews with department associates with emphasis on associate involvement and development.
- Maintain and promote good industrial and associate relations on-site and ensure that potential problems are resolved at an early stage.
- Promote a culture that ensures all requirements relating to loss control, health and safety and hygiene are complied with and enhanced in all areas of the warehouse. Oversee the implementation and compliance of safety policies and procedures, including monthly safety meetings
- Performs other duties and assignments as directed by management.
- Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training associates.
- Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining associates; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision.
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations.
