Responsibilities
**Landor Fundamentals** - Understanding /awareness of the local aesthetic and culture when solving client branding challenges (particularly with world class corporate/CPG clients/B2B clients). - Partners effectively with all departments to ensure delivery of on-time, high-quality deliverables that address client challenges. - Communicates findings and recommendations in a clear and compelling manner in written, oral, and presentation forums. - Master story-teller with the ability to command a room and build strong client relationships. - Coordinates projects with outside resources (freelancers) to facilitate production of deliverables, always with understanding of and sensitivity to both client deliverables and office finances - Ensures all correspondence, materials, presentations, proposals, etc., seen by prospective and existing clients are of highest quality and always relevant to the client’s issues. - Sharing and importing best practices and resources with peers within broader Landor and WPP network. - Interacts in a positive, professional, and motivating manner. **Creative Excellence** - Establishing an inspirational creative vision and high standards for the business. - Responsible for overall creative excellence, including problem solving, creative strategy, quality of creative craft, innovation within creative team, and impact of creative product. - Provides leadership and direction of the creative process; is the final arbiter of creative excellence for the design group. - Responsible for projecting Landor’s image as a creative center of excellence through participation and success in internal and external awards programs. **Strategic Brand and Design Sense** - Understands and is able to manage the delivery and implementation of brand strategies. - Effectively partners with client/strategy directors to merge creative ideas with strategic thinking, and recognizes them as co-owners of the business. - Has the ability to inspire great design internally, and successfully sell it to clients. - Creates competitive and breakthrough design strategies and plans. - Is able to effectively lead strategic design sessions with senior client groups. - Helps to guarantee the implementation of realistic and thorough design strategies that transform businesses. **Thought Leadership** - Responsible for ensuring on-going training and agility of staff in important strategic branding practices including corporate, consumer, environments, and digital. - Is proactive in sharing and importing best practices within broader Landor network. - Develops and champions intellectual capital within and across offices. - Deliver presentations of creative knowledge and expertise to the internal Landor community and within the external marketplace. **Commercial Awareness** - Ability to continually drive growth and new business. - Ability to translate from idea to action and drive team to successful execution. - Drives for results by monitoring creative studio utilization, maintaining high utilization and ensuring profitability. **People and Team** - Acts as an inspirational leader for team and internal partners (including client/strategy leaders). - Ensures and maintains cross-discipline expertise, by mentoring generalists and specialists alike; breaks down silos of ‘corporate’ vs. ‘consumer’ and fosters collaboration and sense of community within creative staff. - Provides motivation by rewarding talent, imagination, collaboration, passion and leadership. - Seeks out and identifies opportunities for Creative Director’s/Design Director’s creative growth and provides ongoing performance evaluations addressing creative quality, client development and profitability, collaboration with other creative leads, and staff development. - Supports and counsels Creative Director’s and Design Director’s in staff development and performance appraisals and issues. - In partnership with HR, assists Creative Directors and Design Directors in identifying new talent. - Networks with senior Landor leaders globally. **Organizational Skills** - Establishes and assigns creative lead to client engagements. May be day-to-day creative lead for some clients. - Facilitates the development of innovative, client-focused cross-discipline team structures and ensures the organizational structure of the creative team helps support the office’s overall strategy. - Partners with other executive team members to ensure quality, profitability, and client satisfaction. - Partners with creative leadership to ensure maximum utilization and efficiency of permanent and freelance design resources.
Ideal Candidate
**Ideal Profile** - Bachelor of Fine Arts or equivalent education and experience **Experience** - 15+ years of broad creative and management experience; experience in both consumer and corporate and digital; world class CPG is a must. - Experience leading cross-discipline teams and leaders. - Global sophistication and ability to adapt to different cultures. **Specific Knowledge/Skills** - Strong people management skills. - Excellent client and peer relation skills. - Superior presentation skills.
