Claims Payable Clerk- PACE

Responsibilities: - The claims payable clerk is responsible for managing payment of medical claims. Preforms as the liaison for vendor accounts. Works under the supervision of Chief Financial Officer.

Requirements: - Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred - At least 2 years of medical billing or related experience. Previous health care experience preferred, with Medicaid and - Medicare coding/billing/reporting knowledge and experience preferred. - Only act within the scope of his or her authority to practice. Meet a standardized set of competencies for the specific position description established by PACE of Southwest Michigan and approved by CMS before working independently. - Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up-to-date before engaging in direct participant contact. - May be subject to exposure and handling of infectious waste, diseases, conditions or hazardous chemicals, etc., including potential exposure to TB, AIDS, and/or Hepatitis B.
