Forklift Driver

We are currently searching for a Forklift Driver who is willing to work 2nd shift within a warehouse department. The Forklift Driver is responsible for performing duties to receive, store, and ship raw materials, supplies, and finished goods.

• Operate forklift and hand truck.
• Work with bar coding and RF scanner systems.
• Perform receiving functions including unloading trucks, checking shipments for damage and contaminants, counting and/or weighing materials and supplies against packing slips, and completing drivers’ paperwork.
• Report shortages, damaged goods, broken packages, obvious defects, and food safety problems.
• Complete and submit receiving paperwork. Store materials in storage area according to master plan.
• Perform order picking function using proper rotation of finished goods, verifying correct items and counts, scanning orders into shipping bin, and writing order numbers and number of pallets on the front of the pallet.
• Locate missing items and follow-up on incomplete orders.
• Shrink wrap pallets using stretch wrap machine or by hand using rollers.
• Transfer products to the shipping dock and load trucks.
• Notify supervisor of unusual problems, delays, and/or safety issues.
• Follow SOP’s, GMP’s safety rules, sanitation rules, good housekeeping procedures, and company rules of conduct.
• Participate in all company training for food safety and plant safety.
• Assist in training less experienced operators.
• Perform other duties as assigned

1 year of prior forklift operation experience is preferred. RF scanner experience is a plus. Ability to occasionally lift or move 50 – 56 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation is required. High School diploma or GED and good English and Math skills are essential. Must be willing and able to work overtime and occasional Saturdays.
