We are currently seeking highly qualified Automation Engineers to meet the needs of our clients located in the Raleigh, NC area and will travel to Boston for a 6 month contract (per diem - 107/lodging per day, 59/food daily, 300/week flights, 300/week rental car). This individual will be responsible for Control System design, startup, customer specifications, qualification and commissioning. Responsibilities
* Programming of PLC’s as well as debugging/enhancing PLC programs * Design and Development of Automation/Controls Systems * Utilizing solid troubleshooting skills while working with engineers and skilled trades in a production environment * Contribute in a group to complete the development of a system based on customer, business and regulatory needs/requirements * Participate in team/customer meetings to identify requirements, specifications, time lines and customer expectations * Facilitate cross-functional problem solving involving Engineering, Quality Operations, Regulatory Affairs, and Manufacturing. * Ability to work independently and make decisions within defined areas of responsibility. * Ability to troubleshoot software issues and make the appropriate design documentation redlines. * Design reviews of P&IDs, FRSs, and design documents to ensure the desired functionality is achieved * Evaluate and analyze commissioning and qualification data obtained through test execution to determine effectiveness and acceptability with regards to functionality and compliance (GMP)
Ideal Candidate
* Must have 5+ years of experience with PLCs (GE Proficy Historian) * AAS in Electrical Engineering or related field or Equivalent (experience + education) * Must have 5+ years of experience designing Control/Automation Systems * Must be familiar with hardware design such as panel layout or industrial controls * Must have experience with communication networks and SCADA software * Must have 5+ years of HMI experience * Solid PC skills with MS Word and Excel
