Summary
As a Sr. Software Engineer, your primary mission will be to design, write, test, deploy, and support new implementations for the tools that drive kCura. You will use your technical expertise to design and write enhancements for the Relativity platform. Your eagerness to learn new technologies and solve complex problems will make you the ideal candidate. Excellent communication skills are critical in this role as you will be expected to raise issues early and clearly document your code additions, test procedures, and project results. Your success in this role will provide you with extensive knowledge of the inner workings of Relativity, kCura’s Azure portal, and open up a number of opportunities within our organization.
Responsibilities
You are a high-level Sr. Software Engineer who is looking for a new challenge and would jump at a chance to work with a leader in a new, expanding industry. As a Sr. Software Engineer at kCura, based in Chicago IL, you will leverage your knowledge of Cloud technologies, C#, Microsoft.NET, and SQL. This is your opportunity to work on a scalable and dynamic web system that his hosted in the Cloud(Azure), and supports rapid and continuous deployment. The software designed will support other developers, support integration with multiple search engines, clustering technologies, and client component interaction through web services. Additionally, you will learn how to build highly distributable systems composed of multiple database, processing, and web servers. You may also be required to handle 2nd level technical support calls after hours about 1 week per month depending on the size of your team. If Client Services is working on a ticket and they are not able to solve an urgent issue, they will reach out to the developer on-call to assist with resolving the issue.
Ideal Candidate
* 7 to 10 years of software development experience * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math or other related subject * Experience in Azure, AWS, vCloud or Googe Compute cloud integration is a plus * Experience in .NET software development using C# and Microsoft SQL Server * Knowledge and experience in working with Agile development methodology * Effective communication and teamwork skills
