Staff Accountant and Assistant

Our client, a small but mighty engineering and consulting firm, has an immediate opening for a Staff Accountant and Assistant to the CFO.

- Learning the services and financial procedures of the company - Supporting monthly and year-end reconciliations and reports - Performing financial analysis as required - Working with and providing financial data to external auditors - Assisting with A/R and A/P - Generating, distributing and processing invoices - Processing expense reports - Providing data entry support in Excel when needed - Assisting with light collections - Assisting in the annual budgeting process - Helping to implement new accounting/financial software - Completing special accounting projects for and with the CFO as needed

- A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance AND on-the-job experience through internships, part-time and/or summer jobs - OR at least two years of college-level accounting and/or finance coursework but no degree AND one year of full-time general accounting, A/P or A/R experience - OR no degree or college-level accounting and/or finance coursework AND actual staff accounting experience - Advanced Word and Excel skills - Excellent attention to detail - Excellent computer skills - Previous experience with Sage and/or other CRM software is a plus.
