Procurement Specialist

Our client, a dynamic international distributor of machine parts, has an immediate opening for a Procurement Specialist.

As a leader in their field, our client is looking to add new talent in order to streamline their buying and procurement processes.

• Collecting and interpreting pricing data from various sources and suppliers
• Monitoring the quality, lead time and level of customer service provided by each supplier
• Monitoring purchase and sales orders in order to maintain adequate inventory levels and meet customer demand
• Helping to determine desired inventory levels based on forecasts and sales orders
• Consulting with internal departments to determine pricing on large-scale orders and special projects
• Providing accurate material estimates in order to grow sales and revenues
• Generating regular and ad hoc reports in Excel
• Assisting with daily and monthly AP rate variance checks
• Recommending new policies and suppliers to reduce the cost of procured goods and operational costs

• At least 2 years of purchasing experience, preferably from within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Intermediate to advanced MS Word, Excel and Access skills
• A basic understanding of manufacturing processes
• Excellent attention to detail
• Any two or four year degree is a plus.
