Procurement Specialist

Our client, a dynamic international distributor of machine parts, has an immediate opening for a Procurement Specialist. As a leader in their field, our client is looking to add new talent in order to streamline their buying and procurement processes.

- Collecting and interpreting pricing data from various sources and suppliers - Monitoring the quality, lead time and level of customer service provided by each supplier - Monitoring purchase and sales orders in order to maintain adequate inventory levels and meet customer demand - Helping to determine desired inventory levels based on forecasts and sales orders - Consulting with internal departments to determine pricing on large-scale orders and special projects - Providing accurate material estimates in order to grow sales and revenues - Generating regular and ad hoc reports in Excel - Assisting with daily and monthly AP rate variance checks - Recommending new policies and suppliers to reduce the cost of procured goods and operational costs

- At least 2 years of purchasing experience, preferably from within a manufacturing or industrial environment - Intermediate to advanced MS Word, Excel and Access skills - A basic understanding of manufacturing processes - Excellent attention to detail - Any two or four year degree is a plus.
