Summary
We are currently seeking a Business Systems Analyst to develop and support applications for our asset and portfolio management capabilities. This position will lead the implementation of technology to help maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of our asset and portfolio management. Acting as the liaison between the business and the IT service providers, the successful candidate will play a key role in implementing and supporting leading edge technology and identifying innovative ways to further leverage our systems and organizational effectiveness. This role requires a solid technology foundation, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and working knowledge of effective project management practices. We are on the move- literally! LaSalle’s Chicago office is currently located in the Aon Center at 200 E Randolph, Chicago, IL 60601. We are moving our Global Headquarters in November 2015, so this individual will be working in our new space, at 333 West Wacker Drive, Chicago, IL 60606 soon! This new location has prime access to all transportation options throughout and into the city of Chicago. With Union Station, Ogilvie Transportation Center, and many el train options nearby, this is a very attractive new space for LaSalle.
Responsibilities
* Build excellent relationships within the business in order to gain a thorough understanding of the business goals, operations and challenges * Function as a business process engineer by documenting current system processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement and ways to further leverage existing technologies * Assume overall responsibility and project management for new initiatives or changes to current processes. * Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, define solution, work with vendors to implement, manage stakeholders and resources, coordinate end user testing, and migrate new process to production. * Act as the point of escalation for end user service issues * Act as the single point of contact with system vendors for support of the business applications to ensure service levels are obtained and strong technology support is continually provided * Manage and lead application upgrades * Manage IT expenditures, ensuring actual costs are in line with budget
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the financial services industry * Knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies * An understanding of asset management workflow and processes, preferably within the real estate asset class * Experience with Argus DCF and/or Argus Enterprise or other cash flow forecasting and/or budgeting technologies preferred * Experience in project management and corresponding methodology * Excellent analytical and problem solving skills required * Strong relationship management skills * Self-motivated, able to set and maintain priorities while working toward operational goals * Concern for quality expressed by continually initiating system and process improvements * Understanding of and commitment to client service * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills * Must be well organized, flexible and able to work independently and in a team environment
