Summary
The ideal candidate understands the changing K-12 education landscape and has proven leadership experience in subscription sales management. This person will be responsible for maintaining relationships with current IXL customers, drive engagement, ensure retention, renewal and expansion, while exceeding renewal sales targets. This person must be well organized, analytical, self-motivated and able to inspire and lead a high performing team while handling IXL’s rapid growth.
Responsibilities
* Hire, train and provide leadership to a highly skilled team of subscription renewal specialists, reporting to VP, Customer Renewals * Provide mentorship, guidance and coaching throughout the renewal sales process * Oversee and lead renewal negotiations and proposals to maximize retention, customer relationships and renewal revenue growth * Continuously improve the process for all renewal activities and opportunity tracking * Collaborate with Sales Management, Professional Services, Marketing and Customer Support on an ongoing basis on ways to increase customer engagement, retention, as well as upsell and expansion strategies within existing customer base * Build relationship with key decision makers to ensure customer engagement throughout life of subscription and develop a deep understanding of our customer needs and values * Establish ongoing training to ensure team is able to effectively communicate key product features and benefits to customers * Continuously review renewal dashboard and metrics to identify “at risk” accounts and opportunities for upsell and expansion within existing accounts * Exceed renewal sales goals on a consistent basis
Ideal Candidate
* BA/BS Degree * Inside Sales Management or Renewal Sales Management experience * Experience in educational technology or renewal sales (SAAS) * 3+ years successful sales experience, renewal sales a plus * Direct classroom experience highly preferred * Passion for bringing technology into the classroom * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Demonstrated success at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment * Aptitude for working under pressure and meeting deadlines * Ability to apply energy and creativity to meeting sales goals
