Cloud Senior Product Manager

Ixia (NASDAQ: XXIA) provides testing, visibility and security solutions, strengthening applications across physical and virtual networks for enterprises and governments, service providers and network equipment manufacturers.

This Product Manager is responsible for understanding the Cloud market segment and developing targeted solutions within Ixia's Network Visibility Solutions business unit. The focus will be on visibility solutions within cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Computing). The Product Manager will be the product champion for the internal team and the customer champion for the sales team, and as such the candidate will need to be able to forge strong working relationships with customers, sales, engineering and support.

• Responsible for researching market opportunity, developing market entry strategy and growing the product into a meaningful business
• Responsible for product competitiveness and develops go to market plans with marketing
• Manage and plan product lifecycle from conception, planning, to launch activities
• Help the Product Management team in guiding the product direction and managing customer priorities and trade-offs
• Assist the PM team with competitive analysis and technology assessment
• Works with technical and business leads to prioritize investments and roadmap
• Takes ownership of solution roadmap and manage ongoing tactical priorities.
• Manages prioritization, trades-offs and ensures alignment across cross functional groups
• Interface with multiple company functions including engineering, manufacturing, sales, finance and customer support
• Support customers and SEs with Ixia product evaluations, strategic bake-offs and provide pre-sales support as needed
• Deliver in-depth and high-level technical presentations for customers and sales personnel
• Develop application notes, white papers, technical briefs and product videos that will help elevate the product knowledge Ixia field, channels, and customers

• Bachelor’s Degree in a computer science or engineering background
• Strong understanding of Service oriented/Cloud applications development
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in real-world Cloud Computing (preferably Salesforce.com, AWS, Azure)
• Experienced with developing products for Infrastructure-as-a-Service platforms (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure…)
• Familiar with the concept of containerized applications (Docker) and micro services
• Familiar with Data scaling – Elasticsearch technologies
• Understanding of virtualization products and technologies
• Must be able to build relationships within internal development/PM organization, sales and customers
• Must be able to quickly adapt to a quickly changing competitive and technology landscape
• Regional travel as needed for training and business meetings, customer visits and speaking engagements
• Must have good verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team-player in a fast-paced environment
